11 years of Labour's mismanagement
I read with interest a story today which suggests David Cameron will be visiting Salford Lads club, which has become a place of pilgrimage for fans of the band The Smiths. Apparently Hazel Blears has suggested it will remind people of "the dark days of Thatcherism". Why, I'm not so sure, but it does remind me of that worn out tatty old line rolled off by Labour MPs when anything goes wrong - "It's 18 years of Tory rule" which are to blame. Funny that I'm 33 next and that Tory rule started when I was 4 and it ended nearly 11 years ago.
I really would have thought that it was about time we started shouting from the rooftops that when things go wrong, there is only one Government who is to blame. I hope all Conservatives will be very quick to point out that when there is a run on a bank, or when there is a huge Olympic overspend, or indeed whatever the next crisis is (and there will be one) , it's all becuase of "11 years of Labour's mismanagement."

Well Editor I am agood deal older than you and I seem to remember throughout every day of the Tories' 18 years in government all Tory Ministers and MP's blamed the previous Labour government (that had sat between March 1974-May 1979) for anything that went wrong in the country. It became a stock answer, even right up until the end in May 1997!
With respect that is complete tosh.
